I am based in North Yorkshire, England, and lucky to have been born & bred in the Yorkshire Dales.

After leaving school I was keen to start working with wood and began apprenticeships in Joinery and Cabinet Making. It was around this time that I had my first experience of woodturning. Now, I have over 30 years of experience in Joinery, Carpentry & Cabinet Making.

More recently, after many years of back trouble, I underwent spinal fusion surgery and following that came a new work approach. I decided to concentrate more on smaller projects to avoid any heavy lifting – that was when the woodturning bug began!

In March 2018 I started my YouTube channel making wood and wood & resin pieces. By July 2018 the channel reached 100k subscribers & then amazingly in July 2020 reached 1 million subscribers!
